THE POSTURE EPIDEMIC
Are your kids developing an iHunch ?
Poor posture is seen by many as the latest epidemic to hit the health community, read more. Poor posture is a common cause of pain in the body, particularly affecting your neck, lower back and shoulders. Bad postural habits are common, but its becoming an even bigger problem in the youth of today with their unstructured use of smart devices in poor ergonomic environments leading to large amounts of time in poor postures.
Improving your posture can help reduce the risk of joint damage, stop injuries, decrease pain, and increase range of motion .
Since getting the youth of today to anything is near impossible, using a postural training device can help implement some lasting good postural habits. The Posture Medic brace is an easy to use device that gives you feedback and helps to keep your shoulders and neck in the right position. This makes it easier to learn good habits while studying and using smart devices
This new brace comes in five different sizes and has the ability to be used for strengthening exercises as well. The brace is comfortable but supportive and easy to put on and take off.
If you would like to try the brace for yourself, come into our Sawtell and Jetty practices and have a feel for yourself.

PILATES EQUIMENT CLASSES
Is your core up to the challenge?
Pilates Equipment Classes Utilise both a reformer and trapeze table to further challenge your deep core muscles and posture control. Pilates equipment uses the principles of Pilates combined with different resistances and slightly unstable positions to facilitate recruitment of the stabilising muscles in order to increase overall strength. The versatility of the Pilates equipment, means these classes are suitable for everyone regardless of injury. The equipment is highly beneficial for those who struggle to get on and off the floor and thus aren’t appropriate for matwork classes.
For any further information about the Pilates equipment or to book an appointment to get started call 66527355
